Few months ago, Facebook-owned instant messaging app - WhatsApp - in an official statement planned to temporarily ban users who uses the unofficial versions of Whatsapp.

Whatsapp feels you have done something wrong that violates their terms and conditions, thus this action. Not only that, you might have been suspended or banned for a different reason entirely which we will highlight here in this post, and as well how to reactivate your Whatsapp account if suspended or banned.

Some users are currently facing their suspensions on Whatsapp because they are using an unofficial version of Whatsapp (like the GBWhatsapp, OGWhatsapp, Whatsapp Plus etc). Suspension varies for different users. Some were given 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours suspension.

Reasons Why Your Whatsapp Account Was Suspended Or Banned

  1. You have installed third-party applications. They are apps not created by WhatsApp developers. Apps like GbWhatsapp, Whatsapp Plus, OGWhatsapp etc.
  2. You have sent too many messages to a person that does not have your number saved
  3. Many WhatsApp users have blocked you in a short period of time.
  4. You have created a group and added people that don’t have your phone number saved as their contact.
  5. Sending or forwarding the same message to many users could also lead to your Whatsapp account being banned or suspended. Because Whatsapp will see you as a spammer.
  6. Sending hoaxes, rumors, submitting links with malware, posting adult content, unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive material could also lead to your account being suspended or banned.
  7. Lastly, you should not violate any terms and conditions of WhatsApp services. The terms and conditions are listed on WhatsApp website, and make sure you go through each of them and understand each point carefully.

There you have them all. Your Whatsapp number must have been suspended or banned for one of those reasons listed above. Once you are suspended, you will keep getting a notification saying;
“Your phone number 1234567890 is temporarily banned from WhatsApp. Contact Support “.

Don't panic. I will show you some few steps to take to reactivate your number on Whatsapp.

How To Reactivate Banned Or Suspended WhatsApp Account

To reactivate your phone number and make it work again on Whatsapp is quite simple. First of all, you need to understand the “Rules & Regulations” that have been violated and be ready to correct it by making changes.

Uninstall all third-party or modded versions of Whatsapp applications on your phone. Delete groups and chats with users that haven’t saved your number (or ask them to save your number as a contact on their phone).

With that being done, wait for WhatsApp to re-enable your phone number to use Whatsapp service.

If they don't activate your account, then send an email to [email protected] and politely ask them to reactivate your phone number to use Whatsapp.

How Long Should I Wait For Reactivation?

The time to restore your account varies. It should take nothing more than 48 hours to a maximum of “infinite”. Usually, if the problem is not serious, this takes place after 48-72 hours maximum.

On the contrary, if your account was permanently banned because the violation is considered overly serious, the only option is to create a new WhatsApp account with a new phone number.

When we thought Ponzi Schemes has come to an end in Nigeria, here we are with yet another one called Loom Money. Loom is the latest ponzi scheme making waves in Nigeria.

Years back when MMM and the likes were still reigning, the early birds are the ones that enjoyed the platform. Then in December 2016, MMM crashed, and thousands of Nigerians lost millions of Naira on the platform.

Nigerians who lost their hard earned money in the scheme vowed not to partake in any Ponzi scheme again, but now, it appears that most Nigerians have had a rethink and are fully into Loom, another Ponzi scheme in Nigeria.

How Does LOOM Works?

The scheme which was first reported in the UK, then by an Australian media, ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) as a scam after it had gone viral in Australia, commenced in Nigeria recently.
  1. The first step of the process is being invited to join a WhatsApp group chat, usually by a friend or relative. Then you are asked to ‘invest’ N1,000, N2,000 or N13,000 with a promise that you will make eight times the amount back once you recruit new entrants.
  2. After you have paid in the money, you are asked to invite at least one person to join the system.
  3. There are four levels in Loom Nigeria – Purple, Blue, Orange and Red.
  4. Each time eight people join the loom, the person in the centre (Red) will get the target amount and leave the group.
  5. The loom will then split into two groups. The top half and the bottom half become the new looms and everyone moves into the next level (Purple Level – into Blue Level – Into Orange Level) and the cycle begins again.

The more people you manage to add to the circle, the quicker the movement of it, and thus, the easier it will be for you to make your own money.

The basics are that you get eight times the amount you “invest.” If you invest N1,000, you get N8,000; if you invest N2,000, you get N16,000; and if you invest N13,000 you will get N104,000

However, in every Ponzi scheme or business, there will always be Testimonies from the early users. But that doesn't make the business a legitimate one, especially Ponzi Schemes.

Everything in life is all about Risk, quite alright, I understand. But note that there's no big difference between LOOM and DOOM!

Please let's hear your own say in the comment box below. Are you already into Loom?

Dark mode is already becoming one of the important features every Android app should have. Many developers are already adding this feature to their app, while some are still testing the feature.

Just recently, I shared a simple trick on how you can enable Dark mode on your Facebook Messenger app using an Emoji. This time around, it's for Chrome Browser for Android users.

Dark mode is essential during the night as it helps protect against eye fatigue while reading, and as well it also help increase battery life.

Google is already working on a system wide dark mode for its upcoming Android Q and it has already started rolling out the feature to some of its apps such as YouTube.

This feature is still in testing mode as it's not yet enabled for all users. If you can't wait for it to be enabled for the general public, then follow my simple steps to enable Dark mode on your Chrome browser for Android.

How To Enable Dark Mode on Chrome Browser For Android

> Make sure you update your Chrome browser to the latest version (from V74).

> Copy and paste chrome://flags/#enable-android-night-mode in the address bar.

> Under "Android Chrome UI dark mode", tap on the drop down list and select "Enable". Then tap on Relaunch.

> Again, copy and paste this into your address bar, chrome://flags/#enable-android-web-contents-dark-mode

> Under "Android web contents dark mode", tap on the drop down list and select "Enable", then Relaunch. After that, select Default and Relaunch again.

> Then go to Settings on your Chrome browser > Dark mode and turn Dark mode on.

That's all. Hope this helps?

Mozilla is currently building a new mobile browser for Android to replace Firefox for Android. This new browser is called Fenix. Though it's not yet available for the public as it's still in development build.

I don't use Firefox as my default browser. I've always sticked with Chrome browser for ages now. Firefox for Android hasn't been receiving updates lately from the company, probably because all attention has been forwarded to the upcoming browser called Fenix.

According to source, a support document published by Mozilla outlines the company’s plans for replacing Firefox (referred to as ‘Fennec’ in the document) with Fenix. Firefox 67 and 68 for Android will be released as previously planned (on May 14th and July 9th, respectively), but afterwards, the browser will only receive bug fixes and security patches.

The document did not say when Mozilla plans to finally release Fenix, but the current Firefox browser will reach End-Of-Life status sometime next year 2020. Support ends when Fenix is ready and users of the legacy version of Firefox for Android can be migrated to the new mobile browser.

Do you use Firefox for Android? What's your experience with the browser?

Just when Google shuts down Google Plus consumer service, Blackberry announced in a blog post that they are officially shutting down its BBM consumer service come 31st May 2019.

Blackberry Messenger was once the best messengjng app out there. The instant messaging app was officially released late in 2013. The app recorded over 5 Million downloads in the first 8hours of its release.

After 6years, we just have to say goodbye to the famous Blackberry Messenger. Most users of the app has already moved to other social platforms like Whatsapp, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Instagram etc.

According to the company, this is what they have to say;
“We are proud of what we have built to date … The technology industry however, is very fluid, and in spite of our substantial efforts, users have moved on to other platforms, while new users proved difficult to sign on,”

They went further to add;
“Though we are sad to say goodbye, the time has come to sunset the BBM consumer service, and for us to move on.”

Those using the enterprise version of the app, called BBMe, will continue operations as normal. If you really miss BBM and want to keep using it, you can also download the enterprise version on Android and iOS for free, but there is a $2.50 subscription fee for every six months.

BBMe does offer what other instant messenging app offers. Your messages are secured via end-to-end encryption, you can edit message, unsend message etc. These features are being offered for free on other social apps. But if you are an avid user of BBM, then it's worth the few bucks.

What About My Data?

Blackberry said users’ data such as photos, videos and files will be available for download before the app is shut down at the end of May, 2019.

Once the BBM service is shut down, you will not be able to open BBM on your device to see any old or new messages, or retrieve asset files.

Finding a reliable hosting service is as important as developing a good website for your online business presence. In fact, it is one of the most critical steps to distinguish between success and failure of your site. A good hosting provider may ideally help you to ensure optimum uptime, increased productivity, and also stimulate the business' growth.

Whatever other considerations you make, an ideal hosting choice is inarguably the foundation of the success of your web-based business. On the other hand, if you mistakenly select the wrong hosting provider for your site, it may kill your website slowly and end you up in a total loss.

Some Hosting Facts Based On The Recent Studies

  • The percentage of website hacking had increased by 32% over the last year, and Google announced that this trend might further go up.
  • Many of the hosting providers are not following the safe hosting guidelines.
  • Hosting services offering cheap services are not implementing strict security measures to ensure data privacy and security.

In this guide, we are trying to delineate some of the best practices in safe B2B web hosting services. If you are planning to host your business website, then these practices will help ensure optimum performance and safety of your company website.

Best Web Hosting Practices For B2B Companies

1. Read the terms and conditions of the provider

It is a known fact that most of the users don’t like reading all the legalese, which is there in fine print, before signing an MoU. But, when it comes to availing a web hosting service, it is important that you completely understand what is out there. You need to have a clear understanding of the provider’s policies as:

  • Privacy
  • Domain registration
  • Acceptable use
  • Spam and antivirus policy
  • Affiliate terms and conditions
  • Unlimited data policy etc.

Reading through all the policies is a time-taking and boring affair to many; however, it's worthwhile to do. Considering that if you put in a dedicated effort to go through the policies before accepting the service, you can take an informed decision and avoid future confusions in terms of the service.

Whether it’s for business hosting or personal web hosting service, knowing to manage the risk is essential for survival. The professional hosting services will possess optimum transparency and customer orientation, who will always prompt the users to be as informed as possible about the service before availing it.

2. Understand the actual implications of the terms like “Unlimited”

In terms of hosting services, you may frequently come across the term "unlimited" as a key promotional tagline. With a lot of providers in the industry, of course, there is a tight competition among them, and the users are getting several privileges to enjoy. Usually, they offer:

  • Unlimited domains and subdomains
  • Unlimited storage
  • Unlimited email IDs
  • Unlimited bandwidth etc.

However, you need to understand that it is not fully unlimited. Every plan is actually to an extent. This is something you need to understand by reading through the fine prints on the policy papers. There may be upper limits for bandwidth and data transfer for each plan. So, always communicate with the support team to understand what is the exact limit of the unlimited services.

3. Keep yourself well informed

Any professional branding agency NYC will be appreciating an informed customer, and web hosting services are no exception. Like with the concept of unlimited as we discussed above, web hosting companies are consistently evolving in other aspects of the service too, especially like the uptime guarantee. In fact, nothing less than 100% uptime is acceptable when it comes to critical technical services like hosting, but considering the chance for technical errors, you make sure you get an uptime close to 95% or above to accept the service. Always try to choose a host that understands your specific business needs and suggest a suitable plan for you. You need to consider various options and compare the pros and cons of each before choosing your most appropriate plan.

4. Don’t pay for the unneeded services

While choosing a hosting plan, you may probably be paying for many add-on services too which you may not actually require. You just have to choose what is exactly needed and get the full return of the investment you make to avail those services. Usually, hosting providers tend to fill in a lot of such add-ons in each package, many of which may not be needed for your requirement in hand.

Say for example, at the checkout page of service selection; you may find a lot of ‘upsell' terms like:

  • Dedicated IP
  • SSL certificate
  • Domain name privacy
  • Data backup services
  • Website management
  • Search engine optimization
  • Business consulting etc.

Sometimes, some of them may be of use to you, which you can opt-in by checking the expertise and skills of the provider in those specific areas. A trustworthy provider will surely explain the benefits of these in light of your business requirements and won't simply prompt you to avail it if not essentially needed. Always keep the power to choose what you need as a customer in your own hands and never let any unnecessary add-ons thrust upon you.

5. Make sure your hosts IP isn’t blacklisted

In terms of available sharing hosting services, a single bad customer may ruin the goodwill all other co-hosted websites. There are chances that the IP of the particular server may get blacklisted by the ISPs for any malpractices of a website. If this is the case, then it may ultimately block you from being visible to the potential users and affect your business adversely. You have the option to check the details of the blacklisted IPs and if you find your hosting server is blacklisted, then it's better not to host your website on that particular server.

There are various hosting options for B2B companies as offered by the leading providers like:

  • Shared web hosting
  • Virtual private server (VPS)
  • Dedicated server
  • Managed hosting
  • Cloud-based scalable VPS etc.

Consider all available options, go through the details of each, check the benefits and drawback of each and then take your time and enough thought to decide which one to choose as your reliable web hosting service.

Did you know that more than 50% of the bandwidth consumed on the internet came from video streaming platforms? The consultation of videos on the Internet is so anchored in our daily life that YouTube is now the 3rd most visited site in the world and the 2nd search engine (after Google).

If you have a website, a blog, a Facebook page, you may need a video presentation to showcase them? Let me help you create it, edit it, and share it on the Internet!

Elements To Prepare Before Any Realization

We do not create a video presentation of a site or a company without a minimum of preparation. Before you start, here is a checklist of items to collect or produce upstream of the edit:

  • A mini storyboard of the scenes to realize
  • A script of what you are going to tell
  • Photos, music, sound effects, logos, videos that you will use.

Some Constraints To Consider Incase of Diffusion Online

  1. Only take videos, images, music free of rights or which you own.
  2. Make short videos: between 2 and 3 minutes is good for a business presentation, between 3 and 5 minutes for a tutorial or a product presentation, beyond 5 minutes, you will lose half of the people.
  3. Compress your final video in HD quality (at least 1080p) before sending in mp4 format. It will go faster, and the image will not be degraded to broadcast.

5 Solutions To Make A Presentation Video

Here are 5 free solutions that I use to create presentation videos in order of preference and illustrated by a video example of my own every time.

1- FlexClip: free video editor online

FlexClip is a free video editing platform that works directly in your browser without the need to download and install any software. You can use it for creating and editing videos of all kinds. The best of all, FlexClip is completely free and allows to export videos in HD 1080p. If you have a limited budget, this one would be the perfect solution.

2- PowToon: create awesome videos yourself

PowToon is a web service that allows you to create business presentation videos in an intuitive way with a very pro and fun rendering at a time. With Powtoon, you can create videos super fast and get professional results. The drag and drop functionality was easy to learn for anybody looking to do an animated presentation.

3- Animoto: create your own videos easily

The presentations that you can create with Animato are of a high enough quality, especially for an online service. This site is free to use and allows you to create from your photos or video clips accompanied by music. This site is easy to learn before mastering all its options.

4- Magisto: smart video maker

Magisto is the ultrasimple application that does all the video editing work for you. By uploading your images or video clips, Magisto will create a superb video with a professional look in a few minutes automatically. The application has a technology that analyzes, cuts and mounts the best sequences of your videos. Available on iOS and Android.

5- Kapwing video maker

As a very good application for quick and easy video editing, Kapwing gives you the possibility to combine video, images, and GIFs to create a brand new video presentation. You can easily upload your favorite media and download your new video without problems. When your final video is ready, you can upload it to a video sharing site like Youtube, Dailymotion, or Vimeo.

Facebook-owned messaging app - Whatsapp - is finally taking actions on all unofficial versions of the app. Whatsapp has announced to temporarily ban all accounts using third-party versions of the app like GbWhatsapp, Whatsapp Plus, Yo Whatsapp and OGWhatsapp.

According to Whatsapp, they disclosed that the use of these apps violates its terms of service. Thereby, users should expect in-app messages informing them they’ve been “temporarily banned.”

The ban can be lifted when they uninstall the third-party app, install the original Whatsapp and sign in back to their account. The company also added that they do not support these third-party apps because they can’t validate their security practices.

Whatsapp has also advised users to backup their chats and Whatsapp has provided detailed explanation for GBWhatsapp and Whatsapp Plus users on how to go about it.

We all know GbWhatsapp and Whatsapp Plus are the most popular third-party apps for Whatsapp that offers some additional Whatsapp features that improve the user experience.

These apps has more features and easily customizable than the original version of Whatsapp. Be that as it may, we ain't sure if Whatsapp has started banning users of these third-party apps. But when they start, a huge number of people will be banned.
