One of the most popular new phones in the world now is Samsung’s Galaxy J7 smartphone. It is the most expensive of the three smartphones in the recently released Samsung Galaxy J line which consists of Samsung Galaxy J2, Samsung Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7 itself. Released in June 2015, it sports a 5.5 inch, 720×1280 pixels Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, weighs
171 grams and is 7.5mm thick.
It runs Android OS Lollipop v5.1 on a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 or an Exynos 7580 chipset with a Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53/Quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53/Octa-core 1.5 GHz processor (depending on the variant) and has 1.5 GB of RAM. It uses Adreno 405 and Mali T720MP2 graphic processors. It also comes in an optional Dual Micro-SIM variant.
Its internal memory is an average 16 GB, thankfully there is a 128GB capacity microSD card slot for expansion. For network connectivity and communications, it has GSM, HSPA and LTE services enabled, it also has Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio with recording enabled and NFC (for the snapdragon model only). It uses a microUSB v2.0 slot for charging and data transfer.
It has a 13MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels main camera with a very high video quality (1080p), autofocus and LED flash. Its secondary camera is 5 MP and also comes with LED flash.
It is fitted with a Li-Ion 3000mAh battery which has up to 18 hours talk time on 3G and up to 72 hours music play time. It is available in White, Black and Gold colours and the price of the Samsung Galaxy J7 in Nigeria is in the range of 55,000 Naira to 60,000 Naira.
