This is the lastest Airtel 1GB cheat on board now, it doesnt work on all sims but you can give it a try. Do comment if it worked for you...
Follow my below steps
Sms SOCIALMONTH to 440, After Sending the text, You will recieve a confirmation text from 0802 asking you to hold.
2. You will receive a message from 0802, saying that you have been given a Data Bundle of 1024MB
3. To confirm your data balance, dial *141*712*0#.
4. Reboot your phone and start browsing.
NOTE: You can send this message with 0.00k on your Airtel line or with money on it, but it will not be deducted.

I Got a message "an unknown error occured" I also dialed. *141*712*0 and it said no active data plan
