Victor KachiASUS ZenFone 2 Has Received Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update
Asus Zenfone 2 has received Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This Marshmallow update was announced early this year 2016 in the month of February
This update also packs Zenfone Zoom and Zenfone Selfie and lots of other features. After updating your ZenFone 2 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, some pre-installed apps that came with the previous version will be removed.
I will advice you, after updating your ZenFone 2 to Marshmallow, you should perform a factory reset on the phone so as to remove older apps automatically. As we all know Asus phones, they usually come with many pre-installed apps.
WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE?
If incase you are impatient to wait for the official push notification to arrive on your device, you can alternatively download the update from Asus's website.
STEPS TO UPDATE YOUR ZENFONE 2
It's very simple, after which you must have downloaded the update file. Place the file in your Phone's root directory. Then goto Settings => About Phone => System Updates => Option => Update from TCard. Locate the file and tap on it. At this point, you don't need to do anything, you just have to wait for the operations to complete and then your device will Reboot.
If you don't want to go through those steps of mine, then you have to wait for the OTA update notification to hit your phone. Sometimes you won't even get the notification, all you need to do is to Flash manually using my above steps.
