Samsung Set To Remotely Deactivate Galaxy Note 7 Units

Recently i wrote some reasons why Samsung Galaxy Note7 is blowing up. Samsung Galaxy Note7 is a beautiful phone but the problem with it now is the explosion of its battery. This smartphone has caused so much problem in different parts of the world. Even some airports have already placed a ban on the device. This means, passengers with this said smartphone will not be allowed to enter the Airport.

Now, the news is, Samsung is asking users of this phone to return the device, that it might be replaced. According to source, reports online claim: Samsung threatens to deactivate all Note 7 units if they are not returned by September 30th, this year 2016.

According to French Redditor LimboJr, Samsung representatives mentioned during a phone call that they will be taking matters into their own hands, ensuring there are no defective Galaxy Note devices out there. It seems the phone maker plans to remotely deactivate all affected smartphones by September 30th, which means you will have to get it exchanged… or live with an amazingly expensive paper weight.

If you currently use Galaxy Note7, i will advice you to return it as it might be replaced. People have been asking questions whether Samsung is so mean with their threats? Could Samsung actually deactivate all unreturned Galaxy Note 7 units? Honestly, empty threat or not, I’m not comfortable with the fact that such a thing could happen. Imagine a situation where your phone is deactivated. How will you feel holding a non-functional smartphone?

You can get futher guidance on official Samsung's website.
