Victor KachiVerizon Note5 & Galaxy S6 edge+ New Update Brings Barcode Beaming Support
Recently after Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge got their respective updates, Verizon has started pushing out new update to Samsung Galaxy Note5 and also the S6 edge+ (on their network). This new update will bring a new software version of VRU2BPG5. The update also came with support for Barcode Beaming as well as new ways to share images and files.
According to what the change log says;
Coming to the new added features which are image and file sharing methods, the update introduces three ways / methods of sharing which are Profile sharing, Simple sharing and Event sharing. I will explain to you what they do.
1. PROFILE SHARING
Profile Sharing lets you share profiles and images.
2. SIMPLE SHARING
Simple Sharing allows you to share files of up to 1GB.
3. EVENT SHARING
With Event sharing you can share events by inviting your contacts to join them.
According to source1 & source2, the update also improves the carrier's Advanced Calling as well as removes the Amazon Music app from the devices.

The Barcode Beaming Service improves the recognition response of your favorite on-device coupons, loyalty cards, and more.
