Android 7.0 Nougat Update Starts Hitting Motorola Z and Z Force on Verizon

If you are of Verizon branded Moto Z and the Moto Z Force, there's a new Android update waiting for you. Though, Verizon hasn't officially announced the update yet, but the Android 7.0 Nougat update is now available for you to install on your Verizon branded Moto Z and the Moto Z Force.

The new update bumps the software version to NCL26.86-11 for the Z Force Droid and NCL25.86-11 for the Moto Z Droid. The update is available via OTA and it weighs about 1.5GB. According to source, the estimated install time for the update is 20 minutes. It gets seriously warm, so take any Moto Mods or covers off to let it cool during installation.

The installation notes mention new Nougat features like split-screen (which is now baked into Android Nougat), App quick-switching (double tap the app switcher to switch between your two most recent apps).

Like i said earlier, the update is available via OTA, on the offchance you didn't receive the OTA notification, head over to Settings => System updates => Check for system update.

Have you updated your Moto Z and Moto Z Force on Verizon? Kindly let me know.
