Facebook Launches Group Video Call Feature On Its Messenger App

Facebook has added so many features to its Messenger app in the past few months, which i can't even list out. Just recently, Facebook added Native Camera feature to its Messenger App, which allows you to take a selfie of yourself or record a video to share with friends.

Now again, Facebook just released a new feature, which allows upto 6 group members to Video chat right inside the group.

THIS IS HOW FACEBOOK GROUP VIDEO CHAT WORKS

Facebook group video chat feature allows up to 6 persons to simultaneously make video calls right inside the group, while up to 50 persons can aswell join the group via Voice chat. Immediately the number of people on camera exceeds 6, only the dominant speaker will be seen by all other participants in the group chat.

This new feature has already been rolled out worldwide, as no region is restricted to use this feature, both on Messenger's website and their Apps for iOS and Android devices.

HOW TO MAKE GROUP VIDEO CALL ON MESSENGER

1. Download the latest version of Messenger from playstore and itunes respectively
2. Go into an existing group conversation and tap the video icon in the upper right part of the screen. 
3. Now you are on the video chat and every member of that group will be notified of your presence. 
4. At this stage, anyone can join with a single tap. 
5. Additionally, you can call a select subset of people in the group.

This is really a nice one from Facebook, it's a welcome development if you ask me. Remember, Whatsapp video calling feature is already live and you can aswell use the feature on your contacts who have the supported phone and the latest version of Whatsapp.
