How To Create, Send & Convert Videos to GIF Photos on WhatsApp

Whatsapp has grown lately to become one of the most used social chatting app, there's no doubt about that. There have been lots of features been added to Whatsapp, of which one is the ability to send Graphical Image Format files (GIF).

Not only that, there's more to it. You can create GIF photos right inside Whatsapp application and equally send it to a contact. You don't actually need to create a GIF somewhere else, you can create / convert a 6 seconds video into GIF photo right inside Whatsapp application.

I will quickly teach you how to achieve this on Whatsapp. Just follow me step after steps.

  1. Shoot a video you would like to convert into a GIF.

  3. Tap the Attachment icon.
  4. Select Gallery, then select the video you want to convert.
  5. A video editor will appear. Tap on the camcorder icon at the top right of the screen. It will change to “GIF”.
  6. Edit your video. Note that it must be under 6 seconds long.
  7. When you are done, tap the green arrow to send your GIF.
