WhatsApp Extends Its Support To Some Mobile Platforms Until June 2017




Good news to the Blackberry, Java and Symbian users, Whatsapp has agreed to extend supports for Whatsapp for your respective devices until June 2017.

Mobile networks has started giving up on Blackberry by discontinuing their Blackberry BIS plan, which Etisalat has taken the lead. MTN, Glo and Airtel will follow suit soon or later. Reason is because, Subscribers of the BIS plans has drastically reduced as every BB users are now switching to Android and iOS devices.

If you could remember, back in February when Whatsapp officially announced the operating systems that will no longer support its application, which includes BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60, Android 2.1 and Android 2.2, Windows Phone 7, as well as iPhone 3GS/iOS 6.

However, the uplifting news now is that, Whatsapp has showered its grace to some operating systems that will enjoy Whatsapp until June 30, 2017. The operating systems includes; BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia Symbian S60.

According to Blackberry, this is what they have to say;
As announced in our blog, we will soon be ending support for certain devices. On June 30, 2017, we will no longer support the following platforms: BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60.

Now, there's still more grace for you to upgrade your device to Android phone, because that's the real deal now. That's why i love Android devices, they can be easily tweaked to your preference.
