YouTube adds Auto play Feature for homepage Videos on Android

New feature is about to hit YouTube app which allows Videos on the homepage to auto-play while you scroll to it. This is an exciting feature which is still in Testing mode. Hopefully, the feature will be available for update on the Playstore soon or later.

This feature is also called "Play as You Browse", whereby it allows YouTube mobile app to automatically play video on the homepage as you scroll to it.

The video auto-play without sound, in addition, you will see subtitles of the video, giving you an idea on what the video is all about.

While you can see a complete video this way, the playback will stop as soon as you scroll up or down, resulting in the current video (that is now visible on screen) being auto-played.

If you don't like this feature, you can disable it in settings, by going to Account -> Settings -> General.

You can also set it to be enabled only when your device is connected to Wi-Fi. There's currently no information on when this feature will be rolled out to the public, but that probably depends on the feedback it gets from all the testers.

I prefer to hit the play button myself on the videos I wanna watch.

They should set it to "off" by default.
