Samsung Rolling out Security Updates for Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and Note 5




Samsung has started rolling out a new update for both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus phones. The update is a security patch update for the month of December 2017 that came as bug fixes, system enhancement and stability.

Though it's not yet rolling out globally. People in South Korea and the U.S (T-Mobile) are the ones currently getting the system update.

The update carries a new build number of G950USQS2BQL1 and G955USQS2BQL1 for T-Mobile users in the U.S, and G950NKSU1AQL3 and G955NKSU1AQL3 for the South Korean users.

In addition, Samsung also rolled out a security patch update for the month of December 2017 to all Galaxy Note 5 phones globally. The update came weighing in at 17MB. If you are currently a Galaxy Note 5 user, kindly head over to Settings > About Phone > System Update to update your phone.
