Amazon Launches Internet Browser for Low End Android Phones

Amazon has just released its own Android browser called Internet. Amazon Internet browser is a light browser that doesn't eat up Android resources.

The browser is designed for low end Android devices, much like Android Go devices. Currently, Amazon Internet browser is available in India where budget and low end phones are massively popular.

On launching the browser, you would see your frequently visited websites on the homepage, some trending news stories where you will get updated with the latest news stories, just like how you see on other browsers.

You can browse on multiple tabs, use incognito mode to browse privately. Amazon Internet browser is really light and it's just 2MB in size.

Main Features Of Amazon Internet Browser

  • Internet is extra small. You'll love how much more space you have on your phone for videos, music, apps, and everything else.
  • Browse confidently knowing that the Internet app is private. It doesn't ask for extra permissions or collect your private data like other browsers.
  • Browse the web with private tabs. The websites you visit are not recorded on your phone.
  • Stay up to date with news, cricket, and entertainment from top sources right on the home page.

Also, the browser is device selective. Apart from being available in just India, it doesn't support all phones.

  1. That is quite surprising, it seems they're trying to encourage low income earners to start buying from their site. Its kind of becoming a monopoly o
