Google To Discontinue Adsense Mobile App For Android and iOS
Google Adsense is the most popular and the best Ad network for both advertisers and publishers. The company makes billions of dollars annually through its advertising platform, and shares some percentage to publishers by allowing them place Ads on their websites or blogs.
There is no doubt that Google Adsense is one of the easiest ways to make money online as a Blogger or website owner. The company created an app for easy access for publishers to check their earnings, Ad reports and overall performance of their Ads.
This app is available for both Android and iOS platforms, and has millions of downloads on their respective app stores. Just like how Google takes down its products or services, it seems like Adsense mobile app for Android and iOS is coming to an end.
Like seriously, I saw this coming, as the company last updated the app in 2017 for both Android and iOS versions. Now, it's official. The company gave the announcement on its official blog.
What this means is that AdSense Android and iOS apps will be discontinued in the coming months and removed from the app stores by the end of 2019. It is unclear as to why Google chose to unpublish the apps altogether, but it was a long time coming.
Google said that about 70% of audiences consume content on mobile devices. Additionally, a third of Adsense users, uses AdSense from mobile devices. Google says that they’re ‘continuing to work on the mobile platform’ and that we can expect to see improvements to the AdSense mobile web interface later this year.

What Google Has To Say
We will be focusing our investment on the AdSense mobile web interface and sunsetting the current iOS and Android apps. By investing in a common web application that supports all platforms, we will be able to deliver AdSense features optimized for mobile much faster than we can today.

ReplyDeleteAnything that Google seems to do, looks like something that is almost perfect. I'm not too happy that they are discontinuing their app support, but since it's from them, it's cool.
