It's been ages since MTN Nigeria discontinued Data Gifting due to reasons best known to them. Ever since then, only MTN SME users have the privilege to share data from their data wallet to their customers or friends.

Now it seems MTN have had a fresh rethink and has added back Data Gifting to their data catalogue. The goodnews now is that MTN Data Gifting is back and better, but there's more.

For those of us that have been wanting to share our MTN data with a friend, but couldn't, MTN has made it possible for her customers to share data with friends and loved ones.

How To Share Data On MTN Nigeria

> Simply dial *123*3#, then reply with 7.

> You'll get a list of options to choose from. You can transfer data from your data balance, buy for a friend, or even request data from a friend.

> Kindly choose the option you wish to go for.

> Enter the friend's MTN number

> Then select the amount of data you would like to share with the friend.

Yeah, that's all.

You can only share data two times daily. So the maximum data you can share per day is 200MB (which is too small in my own opinion).
