MTN Nigeria Launches WhoDeyCall Service, Reveal Caller's ID

MTN Nigeria has just launched a new service called WhoDeyCall. This service has been designed to reveal a caller's identity, just like how True Caller app works.

MTN WhoDeyCall service is an offline service that works similarly like the TrueCaller app. The only difference is that, MTN WhoDeyCall doesn't require internet but TrueCaller does.

Just like how TrueCaller works, MTN WhoDeyCall will show the caller's name as a popup message before you pick the call. The caller's name will still popup whether or not you have the contact saved on your phone. 

According to MTN, they said;

Although the service is similar to Truecaller which is internet-based; WhoDeyCall service gives an edge to MTN customers as callers can be identified without the use of the internet and it works on all device types.

MTN WhoDeyCall is not FREE. Although MTN has a free trial plan for 7 days. In addition, this service works on any phone, including phones that doesn't have internet.

How to Activate MTN WhoDeyCall Service

Like I said, this service is not free. You can activate this service by dialing *5058# or via SMS using the opt-in keywords below:

It's also worth knowing that you can actually change your name on WhoDeyCall service by simply texting  <NAME> <Space> <Preferred Name> to 5058. All at no cost.
