Victor KachiChrome Browser to Start Blocking Ads from February 2018
Recall when i published a post regarding Chrome upcoming update where we should expect HDR support, password export and ability to choose custom download folder.
Google is not done yet as they are planning to introduce Ads blocking to their Browser. Seriously, it's a sad news if you ask me, and for the fact that Google sees most of its income from advertisements.
On the other hand, this upcoming update set to block some annoying ads on blogs/websites that displays flash ads, popup/popunder ads, full page ads, ads that vibrates the phone, unexpectedly ads that play sound or video and many other disturbing ads.
These types of ads tends to send users away from Chrome browser to other browsers with ads blocking functionality as it disrupt the users from doing what they came to do.
According to source, beginning from February 15, 2018, Google will start blocking ads on site that doesn't comply with the Google's Better Ads Standards. What this simply means is that, Google Chrome would stop displaying ads on page that violate Google's Better Ads Standards.
As a Blogger or Site owner, Google has provided a tool to check your website's Ad Experience whether it complies with the Better Ads Standards policy -- you can check Here.
If the website has a “passing” status, ads will show as usual. If the status is “failing” for 30 days or more, Chrome will stop displaying ads on that website. The website will need to use the Ad Experience Report to request a revision of the website before it can start showing ads again.
