Google Drive Reaches 1 Billion Downloads Milestone On Playstore




All Google official apps have millions of downloads, apart from Gmail, Chrome, Maps, YouTube, Play Service, and PlayStore having over a billion downloads.

Now, Google Drive has joined the team of 1 Billion downloads. The announcement was officially made by Google at the Google Cloud Next Conference in San Francisco, USA.

Google was happy to announce this new milestone. But nevertheless the news is impressive.

Google Drive is a free cloud-based storage service that enables users to store and access files online. The cloud storage service has over  2 trillion files and over 800 million active users.

In the past 12 months, Google has been expanding Drive capabilities with more business-driven features. Team Drives and Drive File Stream is for companies, while all users received machine-learning features. There is also Drive-centric backup and sync tool for all PC and Mac users.

  5. The milestone is not really from downloads, the app comes pre installed in all android phones since android 5. Most people don't even use it
